The open learning university offers online admission to various distance education learning bachelor degree programme. Out of which, one name is BA – Bachelor of Arts during the January and July cycle of admissions. It comes under School of Social Sciences. It is shortly termed as SOSS. This discipline is for those students who want to pursue their career in the field of arts. All students can pursue their B.A degree in two ways i.e. BA (Major) and BA(General). After completing the Bachelor’s Degree (B.A), there is also an further options to go for an M.A (Master of Arts) at distance university or Master’s Degree Programme at any other University/Institute. The minimum duration of B.A discipline is of 3 years. However, the maximum duration is of 6 years. The distance university has launched Online Admission facility of B.A discipline for January and July session. Students can fill the application form and their fees online for B.A (Bachelor of Arts) discipline by going through university online portal. Below are details of BA (Bachelor of Arts) programme :
- Programme Name : B.A : Bachelor of Arts
- Medium of Instruction : Both i.e English and Hindi
- Duration : The minimum duration is of 3 years and the maximum period is of 6 years. It is offered in both January and July admission cycle
- Age Bar: No Age limit
- Fee Details : All candidate taking admission to this course need to pay Rs. 6,000 for full programme which is to be paid @ Rs.2000/- per year
- Eligibility Details : To be eligible for B.A admission, must have 12th pass or its equivalent or BPP from IGNOU
IGNOU B.A Hall Ticket : The Hall tickets for B.A (Bachelor of Arts) will be uploaded on official website for appearing in the term end exams 10 days before the date of TEE Exam. In case any candidate do not receive their hall ticket / admit card of B.A discipline by post, he or she can download it from the website to appear in the upcoming examination.
IGNOU B.A TEE Result : After conducting Bachelor of Arts exam, the university takes almost 45 days to declare the Bachelor of Arts result for the current year. So, we advised all students to keep visiting the university website to check the BA (Bachelor of Arts) Result for current year.
IGNOU B.A Solved Assignments : All students need to submit the B.A Solved Assignments for each theory course. The assignment latest question papers of B.A for 2017-18 can be downloaded from the official website. The solved assignments of B.A (Bachelor of Arts) consists 30% of total marks for any particular course.
IGNOU B.A Study Material : After taking online admission, students will receive Bachelor of Arts (B.A) study material at their mentioned address via Registered post/ Speed Post/ Courier etc by the university. If any case, students didn’t receive their b.a Study material, he can contact to their nearest regional or study centre. The study material for B.A discipline is available in PDF form at free of cost.
IGNOU B.A Course & Syllabus Details : To get B.A bachelor degree, all students needs to get total of 96 credits @ 32 credits per year in minimum 3 years. To complete 96 credits, the learners have to choose the credits from 3 different categories : (1) Foundation Course (2) Elective Courses and (3) Application-Oriented Courses.
